  • Vance County Arts Council Gallery

    The Vance County Arts Council delivers resources to arts organizations and artists to support projects and programs of public value—including revitalizing downtown, helping our youth succeed through creative approaches to education in and beyond the classroom, and sponsoring community events promoting the arts. The Council also hosts a gallery located within their historic space at 110 Young Street in Downtown Henderson, where visitors can view and purchase local art pieces and handmade crafts.

  • Henderson Institute Historical Museum

    The Henderson Institute School operated during segregation to educate black teachers and pupils until 1970 when it closed due to integration. View extensive displays of artifacts along with oral and written records, historical photographs, objects, and school memorabilia from the schools past. The museum's vast amount of historical documentation operates as an archive for African American facts and memorabilia of Vance County.

  • RBC African American Cultural Center

    The RBC Center is proud to reflect African American history and culture and gives all the citizens of Henderson a place to celebrate the contribution of African Americans.Everyone, children, grandchildren, parents, teachers and students are invited to visit the RBC exhibit. The Center brings together a stately presentation of African American history.
